Artistic Faux Design started with antiquing walls, and for over 30 years has been providing innovative, quality decorative painting primarily to the Salt Lake City, Utah area and Wasatch Front.
Tomie Loy began in the decorative painting business after decorating her newly built home. She received so many requests to have the faux finishing and stenciling done in friend’s homes that she printed business cards and never looked back. Artistic Faux Design now has a full schedule of faux finishing, plastering, stenciling, and hand painting in residential and commercial settings.
Tomie has been professionally trained and certified through Master Artisan Mindy Harrell, Old World methods breaking boundaries into modern advancements. Faux Effects, and Donna Dewberry One Stroke Design. She is proficient at epoxy countertops, marbling, metallic finishes, texturing, plasters, embossed stenciling, wood graining, and all the Old World looks. She continues to learn and update her skills through Art Fusion Events. Learning from Sheri Zeman, Igor Turovskiy and other amazing artists.
Artistic Faux Design’ss goal is to help our clients decide upon a decorative finish, choose colors that coordinate with the room’s furnishings, create a sample so that the customer can visualize the end result, and finish each room with a high degree of perfection!
